General Information
Compact
The R&S®OSP open switch and control platform is accommodated in a flat 19" cabinet of 2 HU and can be operated as a standalone instrument, or integrated into a 19" rack.
Modular
The three module slots on the rear panel of the instrument enable the user to configure the R&S®OSP for the desired application by utilizing different RF changeover relays and input/output modules (see options).
Flexible
The R&S®OSP can be controlled via an operating program or any software application utilizing SCPI commands (VXI-11). Measurement instruments, control units (PLCs), and PCs with an Ethernet interface that meet the VXI-11 standard can be used as controllers.
Expanded range of functions ensures flexibility and safety of investment
One or more extension units can be connected via the base unit's CAN bus port. This allows the range of functions to be expanded as necessary and also makes it possible to meet future demands.
Easy control and system integration
The LAN interface makes it possible to connect the R&S®OSP base units directly to a PC, to integrate it into test systems or to remotely operate it via a corporate network. The operating software supplied or control via a web GUI enables you to control the switch and control modules easily and directly without special software knowledge. Of course, the unit can also be controlled from an application program via a VXI-11-compatible software interface.
