SC1887 is a fully-adaptive, RF-in / RF-out predistortion solution for compensating RF Power Amplifier's non-linearities including AM/AM and AM/PM distortion, spectral regrowth, and error vector magnitude (EVM). SC1887 is a complete systemon- chip (SoC) solution. The SC1887 assesses the differences between the input signal and feedback signal of the power amplifier's output, and uses this comparison to optimize the correction function. The SC1887's correction function is implemented and applied to the transmit signal solely using RF-domain analog signal processing circuitry. The high resolution analog signal processor is controlled by embedded firmware. The firmware control makes the SC1887 flexible and upgradeable using Scintera developed algorithms.
