Using the IQC5000A and Spectro-X Software for Signal Capture and Analysis: A Satcom Example

Bandwidth is used by satellite communications providers to determine how much information or data their customers are using. The customer’s equipment needs to adhere to a required spectral mask in order for the provider to accurately determine the amount of bandwidth the customer uses. This application note discusses how a spectrum capture and playback system can be used to predict and measure bandwidth, and its advantages over traditional signal analyzers for the same application.
