Laird Technologies Introduces Mini IBW Antenna With Multiple Bands

San Francisco -- IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium -- Laird Technologies introduced its UltraSphere CAF 94895, a micro-miniature, low profile, in-building wireless antenna that provides as high as 3.6 dBi gain and operates over the wideband frequency range of 800 MHz to 2.4 GHz enabling six different technologies (AMPS, GSM, PCS, DCS, UMTS and Wi-Fi) to radiate through a single antenna device.

The multi-band, omni-directional wireless antenna is targeted at cellular voice and data service providers, system integrators, VARs and OEMS. Due to its extensive wideband coverage, the UltraSphere CAF 94895 is service provider and region independent. The aesthetically pleasing UltraSphere CAF 94895 measures 1.7 mm maximum thickness. The product also is suited for ceiling applications and is unobtrusive which allows it to be concealed almost anywhere.

"By offering users a single device containing multiple antenna solutions, customers will purchase a product that enables an already installed future technology migration path," said Craig Somach, director of Business Development. "The unique and feature-packed UltraSphere CAF 94895 is the smallest antenna of its kind available today."

Depending on the frequency range, the antenna has a peak gain range up to 3.6 dBi, and its full dimensions are 179 mm x 80 mm x 1.7 mm with a SMA female connector.
