San Francisco -- IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium -- K&L Microwave, Inc., part of Dover Corporation's Microwave Products Group, introduced the Band-Pass/Band-Stop Diplexer, which assists the out-of-band emission levels measurements of wireless basestations. These measurements are conducted during the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification process.

"Most current methods of measurement are cumbersome and require multiple connections and disconnections," says Rafi Hershtig, vice president of advanced engineering and R&D for K&L Microwave. "The new Band-Pass/Band-Stop diplexer offers a broadband solution that requires just one set of quick connections. The simplicity of our module eliminates possible IM contributions from redundant circuitry otherwise used."

With the Band-Pass/Band-Stop filter's set-up, the output of the basestation is fed into the Common Port of the Diplexer. While the IM products are measured through the Band-Stop port, the main carriers pass through the Band-Pass port. For each communication band the associated diplexer has been developed. Additionally, the IM products are measured from DC to 3.5 GHz in just one measurement.
