Non-Linear Diode (NLD) Library Version 3.1
The Modelithics NLD Non-Linear Diode Library contains the industry's first and only substrate-scalable models for surface mount diodes. Version 3.1 contains over 30 high accuracy non-linear models for Varactor, PIN and Schottky diodes. These reliable, measurement-based models will help you get the most from your RF/MW electronic design automation (EDA) software, reduce design cycle times, and lower product development costs. With just a few simple steps, the NLD Library is ready to use with today's leading EDA tools. The equivalent circuit models are extracted from precision DC-IV, capacitance, and S-parameter measurements. Switches, attenuators, oscillators, detectors, demodulators - whatever your latest design - can then be simulated with greater confidence than ever before.

Substrate Scalability
Modelithics models incorporate advanced features that enable full accounting for substrate-related effects. Each model is generated from multiple sets of S-parameter measurements, made with parts mounted on several PCB fixtures. The models are valid over a continuous range of substrate thickness and dielectric constant, bounded by the H/Er range of the fixtures used for model development.

Bias and Power
Each model in the Modelithics NLD Diode Library has been developed using precise DC current-voltage and capacitance measurements. The empirical data is used to generate bias-dependent factors used in the expressions defining the non-linear I-V and C-V characteristics, which are integrated into each model. The models are also RF power dependent and are validated using gain compression measurements.

Statistical Analysis
By applying Monte Carlo and other analysis techniques, you can simulate variations in bias conditions, substrate thickness, and other tolerance factors. The models are not limited to exact substrate thickness or dielectric constants.

A sample collection of Modelithics Models, includes a Schottky Diode available for free download. A time-limited installation of our entire NLD library can be arranged for prospective customers who are ready to perform a full evaluation and approved by Modeltihics.
