Ka-Band TWT Amplifier: dB-3861

Source: dB Control
Ka-Band TWT Amplifier: dB-3861

The dB-3861 is a Ka-Band TWT Amplifier with a power supply topology that uses proprietary low-noise, high-efficiency designs to operate the RF signal path. This amplifier features an operating frequency range of 32 to 36 GHz, and a minimum peak output power of 400 Watts at a duty cycle of up to 25 percent.

The dB-3861 is equipped with an embedded micro-controller that provides the interface, control and protection functions, and its status indication. The standard interface protocol for remote operation is RS-485, but other interfaces are available as options such as RS-232, RS-422, or Ethernet. The TWT amplifier can be used for many applications including radar, test and measurement, antenna pattern and radar cross section measurements, and electronic warfare (EW) simulations.
