IDA 2 Reveals Interference In Complex Signal Structures
Today’s conventional spectrum analyzers that utilize the super-heterodyne principle can not adequately investigate wireless signals. Spectrum analyzers must use digital signal processing and wideband FFTs to be able to distinguish closely spaced signals, and to reliably detect overlapping signals. The IDA 2 can be used to simultaneously measure wireless signals with microsecond time resolutions, and frequency resolutions of a few Hertz. This application note discusses the practical uses of the IDA 2’s high-resolution analysis of wireless signals. Download the full paper for highlights on the differences between the normal spectrogram mode, and the High Resolution Spectrogram mode unique to the IDA 2.
