IDA 2 Antenna SeriesSource: Narda Safety Test Solutions GmbH
The antennas in the IDA 2 series have been designed for detecting, analyzing, and localizing RF signals. Specifically, they’re used in eliminating faults in mobile telecommunications equipment, tracing interference in industrial plants, securing communications at large events, locating interference transmitters/jammers, localizing SOS beacons, detecting signals in security operations, monitoring signals in border protection settings, and localizing bug transmitters.
The IDA 2 antenna series operates off of several different types of modes. They include:
- Direction finding
- Level meter
- Multi-channel power
- Time domain (scope)
- I/Q Analysis
Four different models make up this series, with frequency ranges overlapping each other by roughly 20%. Antenna 1 covers the 20 MHz to 250 MHz frequency range, antenna 2 covers the 200 MHz to 500 MHz range, antenna 3 covers 400 MHz to 6 GHz, and the loop antenna in the IDA 2 series covers the 9 kHz to 30 MHz range.
