New Temperature Compensated Oscillator with Very Tight Stability

At the IEEE MTT-S 2012 International Microwave Symposium (IMS2012) in Montreal, CTS Valpey, a Subsidiary of CTS Corporation , a global leader in the design and manufacture of electronic components, recently announced the release of a temperature compensated oscillator (TCXO) with voltage control. The DFA S2 is the latest in the CTS line of (VC) TCXOs and it is available in a miniature 5x7 mm surface mount package.

The DFA S2 offers tight stability (±70 ppb) over the frequency range of 5 to 26 MHz. The part has a HCMOS output and is offered with a choice of 5.0V, 3.3V, or 3.0V supply voltage. Additionally, the part operates over the full industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The DFA S2 is ideally suited for communication timing such as network timing and synchronization, SONET/SDH, and microwave applications.

“CTS is a leader in the design and manufacture of precision TCXOs,” said John Fortune, Director of Sales and Marketing, CTS Electronic Components. “The DFA S2 is a great example of the company’s diverse technology strength.” CTS Electronic Components offers highly-engineered products with the best performance in the industry, along with attributes like high stability, small size and low power.
