The OS8900 is a high performance VCO operating from 6900-8900 MHz and offers tuning voltages from 0-15V. Typical power output is 1.0 dBm, and power flatness is 2.0 dB. Modulation sensitivity ranges from 100-270 MHz/V, with a ratio of 2.75:1, typical. SSB phase noise is –70 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset, and –95 dBc/Hz at 100 KHz offset. Frequency pulling is 47 MHz (load VSWR is 1.67:1); frequency pushing is 21 MHz (Vdc is ±0.5 V). Bias voltage is +5.0, and DC current runs a very efficient 24 mA. Model OS3900 comes standard in a SMTO-8 package, and is also available in a SMA connectorized CougarPak™ as model OCP8900. Teledyne Cougar offers a full line of microwave voltage controlled oscillators.
