This receiver is front-end designed for the receive section of digital communication handsets. With a frequency range of 1500MHz-2200MHz, the new RF2448 is suitable for use in CDMA, TDMA or GSM systems in the PCS band.
The RF2448 is a complete receiver front-end that amplifies and downconverts RF signals. The chip features adjustable IIP3 of the LNA/mixer bias current using an off-chip current setting resistor. The component's two-level digital IIP3 control reduces current draw in standby mode and in other situations not requiring a high IIP3.
Noise figure, IP3 and other specs are compatible with CDMA, TDMA and GSM PCS communications. Manufactured using an advanced silicon bipolar process technology (Si Bi-CMOS), the RF2448 is offered in an SSOP-16 package with an exposed die flag.
