Linear Amplifier Series
These devices are manufactured on an advanced third-generation GaAs HBT process and have been designed for use as the final RF amplifier in 3V IS-95/CDMA 2000 1x/AMPS handheld digital cellular equipment, spread-spectrum systems and other applications in the 824 MHz to 849 MHz band.
The complete RF6100 series has digital control lines for low power applications in order to lower quiescent current. The devices are self-contained with 50 ohm input and output that is matched to obtain optimum power, efficiency and linearity.
The modules are ultra-small 4 x 4mm land grid array with backside ground. The RF6100 series footprints are compatible with industry standard 4 x 4mm CDMA modules and require only one decoupling capcitor.
Features of the RF6100-1 includes 40% power added efficiency, 52% AMPS power added efficiency, -49 dBc adjacent channel power rejection, 2.8V regulated voltage and 55mA quiescent current. The RF6100-2 offers 40% power added efficiency, 54% AMPS power added efficiency, -50 dBc adjacent channel power rejection, 3V regulated voltage and 55mA quiescent current (up to 28 dBm).
In addition to series features, the RF6100-3 offers 38% power added efficiency, -48 dBc adjacent channel power rejection, 3V regulated voltage and 60mA quiescent current (up to 28 dBm). The RF6100-4 features 38% power added efficiency, -48 dBc adjacent channel power rejection, 2.8V regulated voltage and 60mA quiescent current (up to 29 dBm).
