Frequency Synthesizer Operates As A Broadband RF Signal Generator From 500 To 8000 MHz

Image

The MBS-8000 from EM Research operates as a broadband RF Signal Generator from 500 to 8000 MHz. The unit is capable of 100 KHz step size, <10 mSec switch speed, and utilizes a 10 MHz external or internal reference. The MBS-8000 operates on +5VDC @ 230 mA, and features +7 dBm output power, low phase noise (<-95 dBc/Hz @ 100 KHz, Fout=8 GHz), from -30°C to +70°C. Low spurs and harmonics are additional features of the MBS.

The MBS is small (3.5" x 2.5" x 0.6") and has female SMA connectors on the reference and RF I/O ports. The programming connector is a Micro-Mini-D, 21-Pin Male. The unit includes an easy-to-use and easy-to-install GUI interface for laboratory or field-programming via PC.

Applications: Portable RF signal generator, electronic warfare, ATE, software defined radio, and lab source.
