Spotlight On Cables/Connectors/Interconnect Solutions
Connections In RF Testing

Connectors influence test results in various and sometimes unpredictable ways. This article discusses how the connections used in a test setup will affect test results and why it is important to create a valid test environment.

Thermal Management In High Performance RF And Microwave PCBs

RF and microwave systems demand increasingly effective thermal management and higher RF performance from PCBs and subsystems. This paper reviews methods of thermal management and reviews the advantages of “Coin” technology versus traditional thermal technology.

Phase Stability, Loss Stability, And Shielding Effectiveness

This paper addresses phase stability, loss stability, and shielding effectiveness in cable assemblies exceeding 20 feet. Stability and shielding effectiveness behavior of long-length assemblies is not well documented due to few requests for such assemblies and a lack of standardized test procedures.

Using Connectors With Integrated EEPROMS

Connector systems with integrated microchips such as EEPROMs (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) offer an easy pairing of devices and connectors, real-time connection status, mating cycle count, and electronic device identification.

VPX RF Product Portfolio: VITA 67 Brochure

SV Microwave offers an extensive portfolio of VITA 67 RF products designed to deliver high performance and rugged durability to chassis and payload cards while meeting industry standards for interoperability. Adaptors and accessories are also available to provide point-to-point connectivity for all RF requirements.

CHIP Gets Everybody "Talking"

Connected Home Over the Internet Protocol (CHIP) aims to elevate consumers’ smart home experiences by making products more compatible. Up until now, we’ve had a range of protocols – Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Bluetooth® Low Energy, Thread, etc. This article introduces the CHIP standard.

Understanding Composite Microwave Filters

Corry Micronics has developed a complete line of composite cavity RF filters for use in unmanned aerial vehicles. Download this white paper to learn about these filters, the challenges faced in creating them, and why they are so important for electrical engineers in today’s market.

Application Note: Application Guide To RF Coaxial Connectors And Cables

RF coaxial connectors provide vital RF links in communications, broadcast, EMC testing, commercial and military, as well as test and measurement fields. This article provides guidance and insight in choosing connectors best suited to accommodate your specific application.

TLMP RF Connectors: Designed For Military, Aerospace, And Space Flight

A TLMP RF connector addresses the disadvantages of SMP/SMPM connectors, making them ideal for use in military, aerospace, and space flight applications. They are vibration proof, and their design overlaps the insulators, cutting off a direct path to ground from the center conductor to the outer shield, which enables higher power or voltage functionality at higher altitudes.
