Space, Aeronautics And Astronautics: IDS's New Frontiers At AIDAA 2017
Discussing the latest findings in aeronautical and astronautical science and technologies with an international community of academics and industry professionals is the aim of the 24th AIDAA International Conference, where IDS Ingegneria Dei Sistemi will share its expertise.
The AIDAA 2017 International Conference will be held in Italy on Monday and Tuesday, September 18-19 at the University of Palermo, and on Wednesday and Thursday, September 20-21 at the MARTA centre (Mediterranean Aeronautics Research and Transportation Academy) of the Kore University of Enna.
The conference plenary session technical program will include a keynote speech by Dr. Tim McDonald, the chief scientist of IDS’s American partner EMA Electro Magnetic Applications, Inc., who will discuss “The US EM Aerospace Technology Landscape” on Wednesday 20 at the Kore University of Enna. The speech will be followed by a “Electromagnetic Technology in Aerospace” round table which will be chaired by the head of the IDS Aerospace Business Unit Giovanni Fumia. On the same day, the head of the IDS Aeronautical and Unmanned Systems Division, Dario Rossilli, and the head of the CAE Business Unit of the Electromagnetic Engineering Division, Andrea Cantarutti, will hold an introduction and demonstration of IDS’s systems and unmanned aerial vehicles, focusing especially on applications for EM measurement and precision agriculture, as well as IDS’s Ground Control Stations.
The AIDAA international conference is biennial and is organized by the Italian Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics (Associazione Italiana Di Aeronautica ed Astronautica - AIDAA) which is a member of the Council of European Aerospace Societies CEAS, the International Astronautical Federation IAF and of the International Council of Aeronautical Science ICAS. IDS Ingegneria Dei Sistemi will be sponsoring AIDAA 2017.
