In November 2014, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) held its ITU Academy training program at Rohde & Schwarz for the second time. The purpose of the five-day workshop, entitled "Implementation of radio monitoring systems according to ITU-R recommendations", was to train the employees of national regulatory authorities.
On the invitation of the ITU Academy, 20 representatives from different countries came to Rohde & Schwarz headquarters in Munich. During the workshop, Rohde & Schwarz experts held presentations and gave practical spectrum monitoring demonstrations.
Rohde & Schwarz and ITU have maintained close relations for 50 years. As a specialized organisation of the United Nations, ITU is responsible for regulating the use of the frequency spectrum.
