Rohde & Schwarz And Apkudo Announce 5G Mobile Device Stress Test Solution

Apkudo's specialized Android application verifies 5G device performance by stressing the CPU during intensive high data throughput situations in 5G FR1 and FR2 recreated by the R&S CMX500 5G radio communication tester.

Columbia, MD /PRNewswire/ - Rohde & Schwarz and Apkudo announce a partnership on the development of a 5G mobile device test solution that ensures optimum device performance in the most demanding real-world 5G situations. Utilizing the R&S CMX500 radio communication tester to emulate the 5G network, the Apkudo Android Device Stress App is designed to stress a device's CPU and process scheduler over a select period of time.

The powerful R&S CMX500 radio communication tester is capable of testing 5G NR devices in both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) TDD and FDD modes. The R&S CMX500 can support sub-6 GHz (FR1) and mmWave (FR2) frequency bands. The comprehensive test solution enables a unified test environment for signaling and non-signaling testing through all stages of the 5G device lifecycle. The equipment also monitors the temperature of the device to ensure that there is no overheating, which is critical during stress tests.
