TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW

Holzworth RF Synthesizers were developed as building blocks for our Phase Noise Analyzers. High end phase noise testers require high performing, extremely stable RF sources. Due to our own stringent development requirements, Holzworth has been able to offer compact RF synthesizers with the best bundle of all around industry leading performance parameters.

The latest generation of modular designs have been optimized for systems integration as well as supporting unique rack mount configurations that are available from no other manufacturer.

Holzworth's synthesis architectures are very unique digital to analog hybrid designs that completely eliminate the PLL. This architecture was selected to optimize on frequency and phase stability. Furthermore, when integrated into a multi-channel system, these independently tunable channels are truly phase coherent, making for the best channel-to-channel stability in the industry. Period.

HSM SERIES: SINGLE CHANNEL MODULES

Holzworth has taken our legacy non-PLL architecture to the next level with the latest generation of RF synthesizers. The HSM Series offers an expanded selection of bandwidth extensions, improved spectral performance, SPI communications, and better than 200khr MTBFs. When used with model HCM1 (USB Communications Module), the synthesizer can be controlled with the Holzworth PC GUI for identical command/control as our legacy RF sources.

HS SERIES: SINGLE CHANNEL LEGACY DESIGNS

Holzworth's legacy HS Series designs are compact, virtual instruments that have come to be known for their incredible performance-to-price ratios. These broadband designs have been integrated into systems and laboratory test stations since 2007. The combination of spectral purity, tightly calibrated amplitude, switching speeds, etc. are only matched by more expensive, high end bench top designs.

MULTI-CHANNEL, 1U RACK MOUNT MODULES

The multi-channel architecture is a complete success story. These compact, 19in rack mountable modules can house up to 8 channels per 1U high chassis.
