weden’s Ranatec delivers 5G test system to FAANG client wrapping up 2020 with benchmark order

Ranatec, a part of the Qamcom Group AB and supplier of specialized test and measurement equipment for RF and microwave applications, today announced it has delivered a 5G testing system to one of the big five (FAANG) US-based tech companies. In a significant 2020 product milestone, the Swedish manufacturer wraps up 2020 deliveries with a substantial order of 500K Swedish kroner, approximately Euro 50K.

“Ranatec experienced a strong 1st half in 5G test equipment requests from Asia, thus we are extremely pleased to see significant 5G orders also coming from one of the largest companies in the world and the American market” says Magnus Kilian, CEO at Ranatec.

“2020 has fostered a bonus scenario for Ranatec requiring increased capacity to handle demand for 5G test equipment and complete custom solutions” continues Kilian. “The hefty new demand has meant ramping up production to cultivate 5G specialized products.”

The supplier of niche test equipment interpreted the influx of orders from the US and Asia this year as an indicator of a market trending towards significant investments in 5G technology.
