The OLS249 and OLS449 are radiation tolerant, phototransistor hermetic surface mount optocouplers designed specifically for hi-rel applications requiring optical isolation in radiation environments such as gamma, neutron, and proton radiation with high current transfer ratio and low saturation Vce.
These optocouplers are comprised of a light emitting diode and a NPN silicon phototransistor that is electrically isolated yet optically coupled inside a hermetic 4-pin leadless chip carrier package. They feature high degradation characteristics due to their radiation exposure, and are available with 100% hi-rel screened parts.
