By M/A-COM Technology Solutions

Recently released "RF power blocks" from M/A-COM Technology Solutions enable high power output over the 20 MHz to 512 MHz frequency band. Operating from a single 28V power supply, the new amplifier modules can be used to replace and shrink multi-component discrete circuits in military and commercial communications systems, such as SINCGARS. The modules are compatible with analog, digital and video waveforms used in ground-to-ground, ground-to-air and SATCOM links.

The MAPM-020512-010C00 pre-amplifier and MAPM-020512-040C00 power amplifier modules measure 1 inch by 2 1/8 inches by ½ inch. They can be used as individual gain blocks or they can be combined to achieve higher power and gain. The input and output impedance of both modules is 50 ohms.

The MAPM-020512-010C00 provides 10 watts of saturated output power over 2 MHz to 512 MHz and 16 watts over 30 MHz to 400 MHz. Typical gain over the entire band is 30 dB.

The MAPM-020512-040C00 delivers 40 watts of saturated power from 20 MHz to 512 MHz and 64 watts over 30 MHz to 400 MHz. Typical gain over the 20 MHz to 512 MHz band is 10 dB.
