This video provides a short tutorial on measuring ultra-low phase noise on a 100MHz OCXO using tunable external references. Measure over a wide range, 1Hz to 50MHz offset, using just 2 cross correlations. You can also measure -182 dBc at 1MHz, -177dBC at 10kHz, and -162 dBc at 1kHz.
