This low noise amplifier (LNA) front-end module includes a BDS/GPS/GNSS pre-filter and ideal for Galileo receiver applications, smartphones, and tablets. It features a small signal gain, a low noise figure, low current consumption, a single 1.8 to 3.6 V single DC supply, and input/output impedance internally matched to 50Ω.
The SKY65709-81 low noise amplifier has recently been implemented into China’s BeiDou navigation satellite system (BDS). This system enables GPS in smartphones, tablets, and other handheld devices for consumers, as well as devices used in public safety applications.
The LNA’s embedded pre-filter uses surface mount technology in a compact, 6-pin, 1.7 x 2.3 mm multichip module package. It’s used to provide low in-band insertion loss as well as excellent rejection of interfering cellular, personal communication systems, and wireless local area network frequency bands.
