Lexycom Technologies To Develop Software-Defined Multiband EVA Radio For NASA

Lexycom Technologies Inc., a Colorado manufacturer of software defined radios, has been awarded a Phase 2, Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), to develop a Software Defined Multiband EVA Radio.

As a follow up to their NASA Phase 1 feasibility study, Lexycom Technologies Inc. will further expand its software defined radio technology to include the development of a low power consumption, high data rate, miniaturized EVA transceiver. This highly reconfigurable EVA transceiver will be designed to transmit data, video, and voice to meet the needs of the next generation of space communication systems. The two year contract runs from April 2009 through April of 2011.
