Lange Couplers And Their Use In RF/Microwave System Design
Source: SemiGen
The Lange Coupler was developed by Dr. Julius Lange of Texas Instruments in 1969. These couplers feature a specific orientation of directional couplers and are used as passive power combiners and RF/microwave splitters for a large range of frequencies. The best-performing designs employ minimized line distance and spacing, along with very tight tolerance control to maximize their advantage.
