KRYTAR Announces New, Compact, 90-Degree Hybrid Microwave Coupler Covering Frequency From 1.0 GHz To 4.0 GHz In A Compact Package

Model 3010040

KRYTAR, Inc., a leader in the design and production of ultra-broadband microwave components and test equipment announces that a new 90-degree, hybrid coupler has been added to its expanding family and delivers 3 dB of coupling over the frequency range of 1.0 GHz to 4.0 GHz in a single, compact package.

KRYTAR’s 90-degree hybrid couplers are designed to perform many functions, including splitting and combining signals in amplifiers, switching circuits, and antenna beam-forming networks used in a wide range of commercial and military applications. KRYTAR’s new hybrid coupler, Model 3010040, delivers excellent versatility from 1.0 to 4.0 GHz with excellent phase and amplitude matching. Typical specifications include Amplitude Imbalance: ±0.6 dB; Phase Imbalance is ±6 degrees; Isolation is >17 dB; Maximum VSWR: 1.30; Insertion Loss is <1.0 dB.

KRYTAR’s new hybrid coupler offers both L-band (1-2 GHz) and S-band (2-4) frequency coverage in a single package which provides low insertion loss, high directivity and tight coupling. This new hybrid coupler offers a simple solution in many applications within those frequency bands including electronic warfare (EW), commercial wireless, SATCOM, radar, signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beam forming, and EMC testing environments. For many space-restricted situations the compact size of this new KRYTAR directional coupler is ideal.

The Model 3010040 hybrid coupler handles 20 Watts of average power and 3 kW of peak power. This compact coupler measures only 3.16 inches (L) x 1.20 inches (W) x 0.50 inches (H), and weighs just 3.3 ounces. SMA female connectors are standard and N-type female connectors are optional. Operating temperature is -54°C to +85°C. This new coupler is available from stock to 30 days, ARO.

KRYTAR also offers complete engineering services for custom designs that meet or exceed critical performance and/or packaging specifications. A data sheet with specifications and package outline drawing is available via KRYTAR’s Website.
