Inter-Vehicular Communication (IVC) Study Part 1

A 5.9 GHz blade antenna design to be used for an IVC application is installed on an automobile and evaluated by the Delcross Savant electromagnetic software.  The optimal location for the antenna is determined so that a single antenna obtains optimal forward and backward gain, while retaining nearly omnidirectional pattern coverage at the horizon.  Full 3D antenna patterns and near fields are also computed and shown by Savant.
