IDS will be attending the International Conference on Antenna Innovations and Modern Technologies (iAIM-2017). The conference, which will have a focus on ground, aircraft and satellite applications, is the largest gathering of the antenna fraternity in India and is organized by the IEEE Bangalore Section in association with the AP/MTT Joint Bangalore Chapter.

As “Annual Platinum Sponsors” IDS are regular visitors to IEEE Bangalore Section’s events and this year will be both showcasing our capabilities, hardware and software in the field of antennas, and presenting during the “Workshop on Ground, Aircraft and Satellite Antennas”.

A visit to the IDS stand will enable you to learn about IDS’s “Three Pillars” approach to electromagnetic engineering, creating a synergy between virtual testing, via electromagnetic modeling and simulation, and physical testing and validation, through electromagnetic measurement, that is backed up by expertise and experience gained through the provision of numerous consulting services. This allows IDS to provide well-proven solutions that have been tailored to complex problems and designed for industrial applications.

These solutions include the Galileo Suite, which provides a comprehensive set of modeling and simulation products designed for electromagnetic engineering applications that enable the user to select the most effective and efficient tool for each phase of the electromagnetic engineering design process. They also include the FARAD, NADIR and RCSMS, advanced systems for measuring the radar cross section of flying aircraft, ships at sea, and static indoor and outdoor targets respectively.

During the “Workshop on Ground, Aircraft and Satellite Antennas” IDS will be presenting on “Antenna Design Challenges and Measurement Opportunities in UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) Applications”, a scenario that is particularly interesting for antenna designers since it creates challenging new requirements both for the antennas to be placed on board the vehicles and for those used to provide the ground station services. The presentation will also cover the use of UAVs in the field of antenna measurements and EM field monitoring, and in the application of radar technologies in the detection and location of fixed-wing and rotorcraft UAVs.

IEEE iAIM 2017 will be held from 24th to 26th November in Bangalore, India.
