This high power amplifier operates in the 92-96 GHz frequency range. It’s a two-stage power device, designed for use in commercial digital radios and wireless LANs. More specifically, it’s ideal for applications involving sensors and short haul/high capacity links.
The APH482 High Power Amplifier has a 7.5 dB (typ) linear gain, a 25 dBm (typ) Psat, a 3.7 sq. mm die size, and more. HEMT devices within the amplifier are passivated to ensure rugged and reliable operation. Both bond pad and backside metallization are Ti/Au, which is compatible with conventional die attach, thermocompression, and thermosonic wire bonding assembly techniques.
