Guerrilla RF Announces New RF Mixer Family

Cost-effective Mixer Features Industry-leading RF Capability; Optimal for Bi-directional, High-linearity Transmit/Receive Chains

Guerrilla RF Inc., a leading provider of high performance MMICs, recently launches a new frequency conversion family with the introduction of the GRF7001, a high linearity mixer with integrated LO buffer. This device features low conversion loss and may be used as an up or down converter.

The GRF7001 inputs and outputs are single-ended and internally matched to 50 ohms. The device implementation requires an external image-reject filter on the RF port, and an IF bandpass filter on the IF port. Pins 4 and 6 can be used for either RF or IF with appropriate filtering in place. The integrated LO buffer is operated from a single positive supply of 3.0 to 5.0 V with a selectable IDDQ range of 10 to 30 mA. The RF/IF frequency range of the GRF7001 is 0.1 to 5.0 GHz, and the LO range is 0.1 to 4.0 GHz.

“Guerrilla RF is proud to expand our catalog with this new mixer product family, which addresses a critical industry need for cost-effective, broadband frequency conversion over a wide range of operating conditions,” said Alan Ake, vice president of applications and technical marketing at Guerrilla RF. “With flexible biasing and an OIP3 of over +25 dBm, this mixer provides outstanding performance.”
