San Ramon -- Giga-tronics' Ascor division announces VX4357 with 32 SPDT 5AMP switches, a true drop-in replacement with full software and hardware compatibility for Tektronix VXI Module. VX4357 is designed with same connector & pin outs, plug-n-play or message based interface and thus requires no cable adapters or new software. Designed with latest components and adherence to 50-ohm transmission line, the VX4357 assures the marketplace a continued support for both existing and new users of the features and benefits of the VX4357 Modules. Truly compatible functions and specifications were achieved in the product development efforts. A major aerospace corporation, having utilized this VXI module in more than one substantial program, has fully tested the VX4357 for true compatibility. The VX4357 is a message based VXI module, which utilizes the Tektronix command and control set.

"We are the only one who can claim true Form-Fit-Function compatibility as we used our unique transmission line design technique that gives our VX4357 superior performance," said Jeffery Lum, Chief Technical Officer of Giga-tronics.

Until now the only option for existing customers with non-plug and play systems was to convert or start over. This has been found by many to be a costly and time-consuming hardware and/or software development effort. This product provides a continued source and offers to the marketplace a zero impact solution to the ever-increasing obsolescence problem that the Test and Measurement industry is facing. Obsolescence is now no longer the problem. The components and design rules used for the VX4357 are the same as all other Giga-tronics products.

As other companies struggle to introduce alternative test solutions to the Test and Measurement Industry, Giga-tronics commits to focus on solving the problems brought to us by our customer base. Look to the future for more truly modern Tektronix replacement modules.
