Defense Department Contractor Orders Custom Amplifier Module From AR Modular RF

AR Modular RF, a world class manufacturer and solution provider of RF amplifiers, systems and modules, has been awarded a high volume order for a new custom amplifier module, the AR-50S.

The AR-50S is a 50-Watt, 30- 88 MHz, SINCGARS-only version of AR's popular Multiband AR-50 tactical booster amplifier. This new module will be used with legacy 5-Watt SINCGARS radio transceivers. The amplifier boosts the SINCGARS signals to over 50 Watts. Designed for vehicle use, the amplifier system includes a built-in DC-DC converter, which enables it to be operated from either 12 or 24V DC vehicle supplies. This new application will use two of the booster amps mounted on a “T” bracket to support multiple radios in a single vehicle.
