dB Control Exhibits Ka-Band Traveling Wave Tube Amplifier For Electronic Warfare Simulation At Dixie Crow Symposium In Georgia

35.5 GHz Hub-Mount TWTA, Other High-Power Products on Display at Museum of Aviation in Booth 13

Fremont, CA /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- dB Control, an international defense electronics manufacturer, will exhibit five high-power products in Booth 13 at the Dixie Crow Symposium, March 21 – 23 at the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, Georgia. One of the company's most highly requested products, the dB-3840 traveling wave tube amplifier (TWTA), will be on display for defense contractors and military personnel. The dB-3840 is an outdoor hub-mount Ka-band TWTA operating at 34.5 to 35.5 GHz, 700 Watts pulsed and 10 percent duty cycle.

Also on display will be the dB-4127 microwave power module. This MPM provides double the output power of comparable models and is estimated to be 30 percent more efficient for applications like electronic warfare simulation or ground mobile applications.

"There's no room for error in the field. Complex military threats must be combated with sophisticated technology and reliable products. Dixie Crow gives defense contractors and military personnel the opportunity to see this sophistication and reliability firsthand," said dB Control Vice President of Business Development Steve Walley.

Five dB Control Power Products at Dixie Crow in Booth 13:

TWT Amplifiers

  • dB-3840 – 700 Watts pulsed, 34.5 to 35.5 GHz, outdoor hub-mount Ka-band. Applications: radars, test/measurement, antenna pattern, radar cross-section measurements, electronic warfare (EW) simulation
  • dB-4410 – 300 Watts CW, 7.5 to 18 GHz. Applications: Electronic countermeasures (ECM) transmitters, EW simulation

Microwave Power Modules

  • dB-4127 – 200 Watts pulsed/CW, 6 to 18 GHz, conduction cooled. Applications: ECM, EW simulation, ground mobile and airborne platforms
  • dB-3758 – 1000 Watts pulsed, 9 to 10 GHz, conduction cooled. Applications: Multi-mode radars, SAR, manned and unmanned platforms

Power Supplies

  • dB-2347-01 – 1500 VDC input, 6.4 VDC output @ 68 Amps. Applications: decoy for airborne platforms

dB Control has exhibited at the Dixie Crow Symposium for five years. The event is produced by the Dixie Crow Chapter of the Association of Old Crows (AOC). Held at Robins Air Force Base, this annual event will focus on cyber security in EW, avionics and ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance). The symposium is expected to draw more than 800 attendees.
