AR Introduces 5000 Watt, 320 To 400 MHz Amplifier

Bothell, WA -- A new high-power amplifier, Model KAW6042, is the result of a cooperative effort between AR Modular RF and its parent company, AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation. Model KAW6042 is a Class AB wideband RF power amplifier system that delivers in excess of 5000 watts CW power into a 50-Ohm load over the 320 to 400 MHz frequency range.

AR Modular RF designed the system using its standard RF modules that have been used as the building blocks for 1000 watt systems and below. Splitting and combining methods developed at the parent company were incorporated into the overall design, allowing production of this custom high-power amplifier design.

The new system has the capability of being built in other frequency ranges in the VHF and UHF spectrum for a broad range of applications, including high-power RF testing, linear accelerator drivers, specialty communications systems, imaging systems, and more.
