The Importance Of Antenna Beamwidth In RF Testing
By A.H. Systems

Antenna beamwidth determines the expected signal strength given the direction and radiation distance of an antenna. The beamwidth will vary given several different factors such as the antenna type, design, orientation, and radio frequency. This white paper presents a better understanding of beamwidth and how it influences a test environment and is critical to accurate and repeatable tests.

Harmonic Injection Doubles Ultra-Wideband TWT RF Output
Article | dB Control

Using harmonic injection on an ultra-wideband TWT is a relatively new concept that works to cancel the naturally generated second (and/or third) harmonic within the TWT and therefore recover the available beam power back into the low-end fundamental frequencies.

Selecting Automotive-Grade Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors In Electric Vehicles
White Paper | Knowles Precision Devices DLI

The electric vehicle (EV) market is exploding in demand and mainstream adoption as governments push for fuel economy improvements and automotive companies look for new market opportunities.

Ultra-Thin Base Materials Take PCB Miniaturization To The Next Level
Article | By Daniel Schulze, Micro Systems Technologies

New approaches are needed to meet demand for smaller, thinner electronic devices. Rigid and flexible ultra-thin base materials for PCBs can fill this need, but it’s important to collaborate with a manufacturer that has advanced engineering services to ensure a compact, cost-effective, reliable design.

What Is Your Old Spectrum Analyzer Hiding From You?

Digital Phosphorus Technology, or DPX, is a Tektronix patented acquisition mode that performs the hardware DSP processing and rasterizing of the samples into pixel information in order to reveal a greater amount of signal detail. It gives a truly “live” view of the RF signals, with its color-grading feature allowing users to see different signals at the same frequency, yet separated by either time or power levels. In this video, DPX is demonstrated and reveals signals that your old spectrum analyzer might be hiding from you. You can literally see signals hidden beneath other signals!
