Agilent Technologies Announces New Webcast On Calibration Service For Test And Measurement Equipment

Agilent Technologies Inc. recently announced the new webcast, "Calibration Traceability and Standards Compliance," hosted by Bob Stern, senior metrologist and Agilent Electronic Measurement Group representative to NCSLI.

The Dec. 13 webcast is the second in a series that helps non-metrologists painlessly climb the learning curve by examining the key concepts of relevant calibration standards without getting mired in details. Participants will learn what to ask for, what to expect and why it matters, when they evaluate who to choose for instrument calibration.

"Traceability to the international system of units can get mired in the details of measurement uncertainty, and compliance to multiple calibration standards can be intimidating," said Stern. "But, we have found a way to meet multiple standards at once in an intuitive approach."

The free one-hour webcast will answer the following questions:

  • What is traceability and why is it important to your measurements?
  • What standards (ISO 17025, ANSI Z540.3, etc.) do you need to comply with?
