A System Based On A UAV Platform For Broadband Measurement Of High Intensity EM Fields

Electromagnetic emission intensity measurement is of interest in both civil and military applications, as well as is the use of UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) for auxiliary tools in the armed forces and in public security activities. This article describes the “PLASTIc” (PLatform Agnostic Sensors for opTImised design of midlife ship refitting) research project and its effort to combine the ability to measure high-intensity electrical fields with the taking of pictures to enable creation of an accurate CAD model reconstruction of naval systems.
