The TMD3438-1 is a S-Band Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) with a frequency range of 3.4 to 3.8 GHz
Toshiba America Electronic Components/Taec-1 is a S-Band Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) with a frequency range of 3.4 to 3.8 GHz. The power MMIC amplifier provides a reliable, cost-effective solution for today's broadband Wireless Local Loop (WLL) subscriber applications.

Toshiba America Electronic Components/Taec-1 is a surface mountable MMIC delivered in a low-cost, ceramic package for excellent reliability. The device is internally matched to 50 ohms, which reduces part count and lowers tuning costs. Its lower thermal resistance and larger footprint for thermal dispersion further simplify the design process. Toshiba America Electronic Components/Taec-1 features the high RF output power and high power gain needed to support the growing bandwidths of emerging wireless applications. It also demonstrates the high linearity required for the more complicated, vector-oriented modulation schemes characteristic of many WLL applications. These features combine to offer significant cost and performance advantages over alternative microwave solutions for this operating frequency, many of which have been based on discrete solutions using GaAs Power FETs.

Pricing for TMD3438-1 starts at $30 for a quantity of 1,000 pieces. Engineering samples are available now and volume production is scheduled to begin next month.
