HISTORY

In June 1967, David Germond, the founder of NewTech, placed his first candidate with Diamond Antenna & Microwave. He then went on to work for companies like Microwave Associates (MA/COM), Frequency Sources (Loral), Alpha Industries, Raytheon, Adams Russell, Omni Spectra, Sanders Associates, IBM, and many others. In those days we were still working with tubes, passive devices, and just a few active devices. As the technology and market expanded so did NewTech. We were instrumental in hiring the development staff for Microwave Semiconductor in New Jersey that built the FET device group. That doesn't sound like much today but in that era most engineers did not think the FET, solid state ampiflier, or oscillator would ever be more than a dream. We were fortunate to have worked with companies like Varian Solid State West, Litton, Hughes Aircraft, Addington Labs and many others who were on the leading edge of engineering development. We have maintained a balance of working with companies involved in active and passive systems and find them all challenging in many ways. When we consider the changes we have seen from the first exhibit, MTTS in San Diego California, in that small room at the Sheraton Hotel to the huge MTT exhibition in Baltimore last year, it is simply amazing.

TODAY

We maintain a good working relationship with the better companies in our industry and are growing to meet our clients needs. We have gained a good understanding of the technology and the military/commercial market place. Today's employment challenges are many. Since technology is truly DC to Light, we estimate there are approximately 9,000 job requisitions for RF/Microwave personnel. In 1967 the entry level position for a new graduates starting salary was $7,000.00; now it is in the $45,000.00 range + +. Now we are working with Presidents of corporations we placed as engineers many years ago. Our Client list has expanded to cover the USA and many countries around the world. We have become very proficient at finding the right person for the companies that use our service. Through our extensive due diligence on each candidate prior to their employment we provide for a long-term career with our client companies. The range of positions we work with are typically as follows:

The typical salary range is $70,000.00 to $500,000.00 per year.
