Patented Vari-Notch performance is now available to the 6-meter amateur enthusiast. This four-cavity duplexer uses full quarterwave coaxial cavity resonators with Vari-Notch coupling devices to achieve over 100 dB transmitter to receiver isolation at frequency separations dow to 0.500 MHz. In addition, this design offers significant suppression of transmitter spurious radiation at channel 2 TV frequencies which can help make your repeater more neighborhood friendly.

This four-cavity duplexer uses full quarterwave coaxial cavity resonators with Vari-Notch coupling devices to achieve over 100 dB transmitter to receiver isolation at frequency separations dow to 0.500 MHz. In addition, this design offers significant suppression of transmitter spurious radiation at channel 2 TV frequencies which can help make your repeater more neighborhood friendly.
The 6.625" diameter, temperature compensated cavities can easily handle quarter kilowatt repeaters while providing the high degree of filtering needed for higher power operation. The cavities feature the same construction as our commercial products. Cavity bodies are constructed from seamless aluminum pipe with heavy gauge heliarc welded top end caps. Cavity body surfaces are passivated inside and out with a chromate conversion coating. The tuning mechanism incorporates microwave design techniques such as silver plated large-surface-area tuning probe contacts and full silver plating of the tuning plunger. Ultra low-loss supports keep the tuning mechanism perfectly aligned in the cavity body during shipping and with horizontal or vertical mounting without degrading electrical performance.
All cavity interconnecting and antenna junction cables are made from double shielded RG 214/U coaxial for low loss and maximum performance. The duplexer is furnished standard with 19" wall mount brackets and may be mounted vertically or horizontally, as space permits.
The duplexers are shipped factory tuned to your repeater frequencies. It can also be retuned to new frequency pairs in the field with the use of signal generator, scanning receiver, RH millivolt meter and a reflection bridge. Fine tuning controls on each cavity make precise alignment easy to accomplish.
Less expensive duplexers may be found, but none can offer the performance and durability of our Vari-Notch design.
