XStream tremendously improves EM simulation performance by leveraging the powerful NVIDIA graphics processing units (GPUs) available on modern video cards to make ultra-fast FDTD numerical computations -- from 30 to 300 times faster than a modern 64-bit CPU. Remcom's new generation of XStream enables XF7 calculations to finish in hours as compared to days using a CPU only. This solution has the potential to save customers months of simulation time in delivering products to market.

And now all XF7 customers can enjoy XStream speed: a license to run a single GPU is included in both XF7 Pro and Bio-Pro. Additional capability for multiple GPUs may be purchased; please contact Remcom for details.

Existing XStream customers will experience speeds up to twice as fast as the previous release without the need to upgrade their existing hardware. By employing the power and flexibility of NVIDIA's CUDA architecture, all customers can enjoy the freedom to choose from a broader range of GPUs to fit their particular budget and simulation speed needs.

Custom Configured GPU Hardware:
Remcom's partners offer our customers custom XFdtd systems outfitted with the latest in graphics processing unit (GPU) technology. These Remcom-certified systems optimize XFdtd's performance by building the recommended GPUs directly into the product.

While a custom-engineered system is not necessary for using XStream, these offerings deliver cluster level computing performance -- up to 300 times faster than standard PCs and workstations -- for those users that prefer additional power.
