MP1797A: 40G Jitter Analyzer

The MP1797A is a general purpose 40G jitter analyzer. It features a built-in modulator and demodulator and can measure jitter characteristics, including jitter tolerance, jitter transfer, and jitter amount, which are the most widely used parameters for evaluating digital transmissions. It can be used to measure OC-768/STM-256 network equipment or modules.

The MP1797A is a general purpose 40G jitter analyzer. It features a built-in modulator and demodulator and can measure jitter characteristics, including jitter tolerance, jitter transfer, and jitter amount, which are the most widely used parameters for evaluating digital transmissions. - Jitter transfer measurements
- Jitter tolerance measurements (in combination with a pulse pattern generator and an error detector)
- Jitter amount measurements (UIp-p, UI+p, UI-p)

- Maximum jitter modulation and demodulation frequency up to 320 MHz
- Supports optical interface jitter measurement
- Supports BER measurement with MP1758A (MP1775A) and MP1776A
- Jitter performance test software MX179701A can automatically measure jitter tolerance and jitter transfer
