RF Modular Instruments For Wireless Communications Testing: 3000 Series
Several RF modular instruments make up the Aeroflex 3000 Series used for wireless communications testing.
DAS Components From JFW
JFW's passive RF components product line (to include attenuators/terminations and power dividers) have been designed to meet LTE-MIMO-DAS deployments and upgrades due to the increased demands of MIMO on Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS). Datasheets on dual rotary attenuators, fixed attenuators, and 2 and 4-way reactive power dividers/combiners can be found below.
Mobile Fault Finder: 3100
The Aeroflex 3100 Mobile Fault Finder analyzes GSM/GPRS/EDGE/WCDMA/HSDPA multi-mode phones as well as CDMA2000/1xEV-DO phones used in service environments, enabling accurate and no-fault identification of said phones. The 3100 Mobile Fault Finder has the ability to simulate real-life networks for complete testing, and is a preferred low-cost solution in several calibration and alignment systems. It separates faulty and no-fault found (NFF) mobile phones, and provides intuitive operation through a Windows-based operating software, minimizing training requirements.
20 MHz to 800 MHz Broadband Monopole Antenna: SAS-500
This antenna is a broadband monopole exhibiting exceptional gain in an omni-directional pattern and operates from 20 MHz to 800 MHz. Mechanical stability and isolation from environmental hazards is provided in a sealed dielectric radome that the antenna is mounted in, making it ideal for military applications. Additional features include low VSWR, and the ability to handle 100 W CW power. Rapid vehicle installation is made available with an included magnetic mount. A spring base with the NATO bolt pattern is also available.
Log-Periodic Antenna For Tactical And Field Communications Applications: LPD-830-A103
This small Log-Periodic antenna's extreme durability, ability to be deployed many types in harsh environments, and olive green finish make it ideal for tactical and field communications assemblies. The complete assembly has one main part with additional elements enclosed in the foam radome.
Ultra Wideband High Power Amplifier: BBS3G6QHM (SKU 2135)
This high power amplifier is ideal for laboratory, RFI/EMC susceptibility testing, RF/MW component testing, and ultra broadband high power linear applications. It features 50 ohm input/output impedance, high reliability and ruggedness, suitability for CW, AM, and FM, a small form factor and a lightweight, built-in control, monitoring and protection circuits, and a solid-state Class A linear design.
TETRA Mobile Station Tester: 2303 Stabilock®
The 2303 Stabilock® is used to testing TETRA radios. Because TETRA radios are used and exposed in various harsh environments or conditions like shock, vibrations, liquids, or heat, frequency stability and receiver sensitivity can be affected negatively. The fact that these radios are often used by police departments, firemen, paramedics, and on railways means that they're often used for communication in critical systems. Because of this, testing of the radios is very important. The 2303 Stabilock® TETRA Mobile Station Tester delivers accurate results quickly and was specifically made for testing TETRA radios in the service environment.
Custom Manufacturing Of Multilayer FR4 PCB For The Industrial Controls Industry
The image above shows a PCB that Standard Printed Circuits custom manufactured for the industrial controls industry. Proper laminates for the innerlayer manufacture were pulled first, followed by the drilling of tooling holes in the panels and then moved to the imaging department. The custom design was then transferred to the innerlayer panels through the use of different Photolithographic methods, then subjected to a thorough in-process inspection. Unwanted copper was then removed through the use of chemicals in the etching department, followed by another in-process inspection.
Standard Gain Horn Antennas
Corry Micronics' Gain Horn Antennas operate in the sub-gigahertz to over 100 GHz frequency range. These antennas can be custom manufactured for different applications, including but not limited to aerospace, military, wireless communications, and medical.
Single Band Omni-Directional Vehicular-Mounted WNW Antenna: WDA-1220-1 Series
This vehicle-mounted antenna operates in the 1200-2000 MHz frequency range and features a rugged design. It's a fully qualified, Commerical Off the Shelf (COTS), TRL-7 (Technology Readiness Level) antenna. The gain has been tuned for 0° to 10° in elevation and azimuthal variations are ±1 dB. The low SWR ensures maximum power transfer to the antenna elements and minimal antenna heating at the tested 125 Watts CW. The design of the antenna passed the rigorous oak beam test which involves 25 oak beam strikes to the mid-point of the antenna at 25 MPH.
Weather Radar Antennas
Antenna Research Association's Seavey Division has designed and developed a line of antennas for use in weather radar applications. There are several models to choose from with varying gains, frequencies, VSWR, power handling, weight, polarization, and more. Most antennas in this line have a dual polarized feed system with waveguide runs to the edge or to the rear of the reflectors.
Satellite Link Emulator: SLE900
dBm's SLE900 Satellite Link Emulator replaces the SLE700 model. This emulator can be used in applications involving payload testing, satellite ground equipment testing, satellite system integration test beds, earth terminal testing, mobile transceiver testing, and UAV testing. This newer model has a wider bandwidth and improved noise floor than the previous one. It also adds optional AWGN and multipath fading with up to 6 taps per channel.
PCMCIA Data Card Testing Option: 1210
The 1210 PCMCIA Data Card Testing Option was designed to bridge the gap between the wireless device and test instrument market. Previous PCMCIA data cards used for data communications were used to test devices on GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, HSPA, CDMA2000, and 1EV-DO data channels, as well as for WLAN enabled data cards. When coupled with the Aeroflex 4916 Antenna Coupler, the 1210 PCMCIA Data Card Testing Option allows for a much greater testing range.
7 GHz Hermetically Sealed Surface Mount Cavity Filter
Like all NIC cavity filters, the 7 GHz Hermetically Sealed Surface Mount Cavity Filter can be used in either ruggedized military applications, or commercial applications. This particular model is available with a center frequency of 3 GHz to 18 GHz, and 3 dB bandwidth from 1 to 30%.
Mobile Phone Tester Series: 4400
Aeroflex's 4400 series of mobile phone testers feature compliance with all major communication standards, remote control through GPIB, LAN, and USB, options for DC power supply and DC current measurements, and parallel testing of TX, RX, and audio. These mobile phone testers are ideal for engineers involved in wireless manufacturing test, service test, and handset repair requiring a multi-technology platform. This series provides the lowest total test cost per device by quickly testing GSM, EDGE, WCDMA (UMTS), HSPDA, 1xEV-DO, and TD-SCDMA terminals. This set up can also reduce downtime in the production process because one system can switch from one technology to another.
