Summitek Instruments provides measurement solutions in RF and Microwave applications. Solutions are offered in three general areas: Passive Intermodulation (PIM), Spectrum Monitoring and Interference Analysis, and S-Parameter test. At the core of these solutions is application software designed to simplify the measurement process and add value to the users without sacrificing versatility.
Summitek introduced their first PIM Analyzer system in 1996. This innovative solution quickly brought standardization to the industry for this challenging measurement. The Summitek PIM Analyzers are available in all major wireless bands (TETRA, CDMA450, DAMPS, GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900, UMTS, UMTS2, and WiMAX) and are used by every major component manufacturer around the world.
The OASIS Spectrum Monitoring and Interference product is application software that interfaces to and extends the capabilities of spectrum analyzers and RF receivers from every major manufacturer including Agilent, Anritsu, Advantest, Hewlett Packard, National Instruments, Rohde & Schwarz, and Willtek. This combination is in use for applications including general spectrum monitoring, recording and playback of spectral events, interference analysis, band clearing, drive testing, and remote/unattended monitoring.
Spartan Automated Test & Data Management (www.SpartanTest.com) solution provides a low cost, highly capable test solution and data mining utility for organizations that need to characterize the electrical properties of RF and microwave products. Compatible with all industry standard network analyzers, Spartan’s nearly hands off testing improves the quality of the test results and decreases test time and labor cost. Post test, Spartan provides data mining utilities that contribute to product and process improvement. Outsourcing your automated test needs decreases development and maintenance costs while providing a full featured, robust test solution.
Summitek was acquired by Smiths Group plc (www.Smiths-Group.com) in November 2001 and is a part of the Smiths Interconnect division. Smiths Interconnect designs and manufactures specialized electronic and radio frequency products that connect, protect, and control critical systems for the wireless telecommunications, aerospace, defense, space, and medical markets.
