A variation of the PowerPoint presentation above, this video describes the process by which a genetic algorithm was used in XFdtd Release 7.0 to optimize the placement of a signal-jamming antenna on a military Humvee. The goal of the optimization was to find the location on the Humvee that resulted in the highest amount of power on target at a position several meters in front of the vehicle.
