Application Note: EMI: Why Digital Devices Radiate

This article begins with an experiment focusing on one frequency of a circuit, the fifth harmonic of the clock at 125 MHz. The telescoping elements of the antenna were tuned to resonance at that frequency and left there for the duration of the test. The circuit then produced 39.4 dBuV/m of radiation at 10 meters. The article goes on to explain why this circuit radiates, calculates the predicted radiation, and sees if it matched the measured results.
