Wi-Fi Power Amplifiers With Log Detector
Qorvo’s new Wi-Fi integrated, three-stage power amplifier (PA) modules are designed to operate over the 4900 MHz to 5925 MHz frequency range in applications using wireless routers, access points, residential gateways, consumer premise equipment, and the Internet of Things. The modules' performance is focused on optimizing the PAs for a 3.3 V or 5 V supply voltage which conserves power consumption while maintaining the highest leading edge throughput and linear output power.
The PAs feature an integrated logarithmic power detector that reduces device calibration time production, and enables power control across the complete spectrum for applications utilizing higher gain antennas. The devices are also included with a 5 GHz power amplifier, regulator, and power detector. They are housed in a 4mm x 4mm x 0.9mm, 20-pin QFN package.
