The UBX-M8230-CT is an ultra-low power GNSS chip from u-blox designed for wearable and portable applications such as those for smart watches, sports wearables, fitness trackers, and trackers for assets, people, children, and animals. This chip features a Super-Efficient (Super-E) mode that cuts power consumption by two-thirds to 20 mW, while retaining at least 80% of position and speed accuracy with position updates every second.

The UBX-M8230-CT chip delivers concurrent reception of GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou when in Super-E mode, and has a sensitivity of -167 dBm. This GNSS chip also provides reliable positioning in difficult environmental conditions and security attack scenarios by supporting message integrity projection, anti-jamming, and anti-spoofing. It is housed in a 47-pin, WL-CSP package that measures 2.99 x 3.21 x 0.36 mm, and it is fully tested and qualified according to the JESD47 standard.
