SMT Packaged GaAs MMIC Receivers

Mimix Broadband, Inc. provides a family of Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) receivers in RoHS-compliant, surface mount technology (SMT) packages, covering 11 to 45 GHz.

The packaged receivers achieve the following performance specifications:

Features of these parts include high linearity, low noise and broadband performance provided in low cost, standard QFN packages. These receivers are ideal for wireless communications applications such as millimeter-wave point-to-point radio, local multipoint distribution services (LMDS), SATCOM and VSAT applications.

Mimix performs 100% on-wafer RF, DC and noise figure testing on the receivers, as well as 100% visual inspection to MIL-STD-883 method 2010. The chips also have surface passivation to protect and provide rugged parts with backside via holes and gold metallization to allow either a conductive epoxy or eutectic solder die attach process.
